2015 Blog Post #31: Feeling Pretty Proud

Even though the Neverending To-do list is still in my life, being its never-ending self, I'm actually feeling okay about it at the moment. I had an extremely productive couple of days that got me believing that I might be able to pull off all of this madness, Abba that has for me feeling pretty proud of myself. If course, there's still a lot to do in the next couple of weeks, and just after last week's post I got "volunteered" to do two more unexpected pieces of art for a fundraising event that occurs on Monday. I had a massive anxiety/panic attack when I found out about the new commitments, but since then I've got myself straightened it and found a way to survive this. (I think.) And the fact that I'm currently in a place where I can say something remotely like that is making me feel pretty proud of myself too.

But if I want to hold on to the remnants of sanity I've got left, I'm not going to think about the added stress and pressure of having to more things added to my plate when that plate was already overflowing. I can't do that. If I do, it just puts me in a feedback loop of stress and worry, about c fear of disappointing people, etc, etc, etc, and that is just something I can't handle. For now, I'm going to concentrate on the things I can control and take the List one by one in the hopes of being able to do more than I thought possible. If I can keep having days like the last few, I think I will have succeeded in doing far more than I thought myself capable, and that is something to be proud of for sure.

I just wish I weren't so ambitious with my ideas, then maybe I'd have a better chance of being more successful and feeling less stressed all the time. Welp, I can't control everything, so here's to me handling what I can as I return to tackling my to-do list! :cheers:
